5 things you need to know to plan your summer

On June 26, we are switching to summer mode with new schedules and seasonal offerings.

Before we get to that, it’s party time!

St-Jean-Baptiste Day and Canada Day statutory holidays: Be sure to refer to the Sunday schedule to get to your Saint-Jean festivities on time on June 24. If you have any outings planned for July 1, refer to the Saturday schedule.

And now, here are the 5 things you need to know to make the most of the summer and to get around from activity to activity.

1. New summer schedule

Change of schedule for our bus lines, in effect June 26 to August 27. You can already find out the new times for your usual bus lines by referring to our bus schedules. If you want to quickly find out the time for the next bus, text your bus stop number to 511285.

The new paper schedules are available in the terminus and the PDF version is available on our website through your bus line schedule page.

2. Simplified fare structure in Greater Montréal as of July 1

A few new features for Laval residents:

  • Family outings will be more accessible than ever as children 11 and under can travel for free all year round! Up to five children accompanied by a passenger age 14 or older (who is supervising the younger children and has a valid ticket) can get on board for free.
  • Students 18 or older will be entitled to the same fare as younger students for monthly passes and annual subscriptions.
  • New fares set by the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) will come into effect.
  • New “All Modes” fares will be introduced along with the change in fare zones.

3. Over 50% discount for youths 12 to 17

Did you know that for only $69.50, your children can enjoy unlimited trips on the STL network throughout July and August? You only need to buy the XTRA pass on their OPUS card with photo! On sale until July 19.

4. Smog alerts: $1 days to help the planet

From June 1 to Labour Day, the STL is monitoring smog alerts issued by Environment Canada. The day after an alert, the STL will activate a special $1 fare for its entire regular network.

To take advantage of the special fare, pay in cash or by credit card (if you use your Opus card or L'Occasionnelle card, the regular fare will automatically debited).

5. Free fare going downtown without a car

From June 26 to August 27, the 360 shuttle will operate seven days a week in downtown Laval. The shuttle service is free to all, and departs every 20 minutes from Montmorency terminus (platform 8).
