What is REM?

UPDATE December 9, 2020 5 p.m. | New mitigation measures will be rolled out on November 2, 2020 in preparation for the shutdown of the Deux-Montagnes rail shuttle on December, 31, 2020, and the continuation of work on the REM line. Laval users will enjoy an added commute option: A direct shuttle, Bus 498, from the Sainte-Dorothée train station to downtown Montréal.

Check out the suggested routes below for full details.

Specific Covid-19 measures

You will find all of the STL’s Covid-19-related measures on our Covid-19: What you need to know webpage. As for measures that are more REM-specific, go to the Mobility Montréal website.

The REM is an electric train project that will be deployed on four lines in the metropolitan area: downtown Montreal, South Shore, North Shore, West Island and the airport. It will be integrated with public transportation networks to ensure travel adapted to your daily life.
