Passengers need a valid Bus ticket or pass to board a bus on our network. To travel between Laval and Montreal by train, bus and/or metro, get an All Modes ticket or monthly pass.

Which transit fare to choose?

To help you find the transit fare you need, the ARTM has a Fare Selector you can use. Simply enter some information about your trip and there it is!

Public transit is free for kids ages 0 to 5
and also for kids aged 6-11 accompanied by a person aged 14+.

Fare system: The Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) sets public transportation fares in the greater Montreal metropolitan area.

OPUS card: Available at a cost of $6 and usable for a period of 4 years, the OPUS card (without photo ID) is the most practical way to buy tickets, whether monthly passes or single tickets. It also allows you to get an annual OPUS+ membership to save time and money. Learn more.

 

Reduced fares: Certain conditions may apply. Read the details about each fare type to see if you’re eligible for a reduced fare. Kids ages 6 to 11 and seniors age 65 and over require a photo ID OPUS card in order to take advantage of reduced fares.
