Which fare should you choose? 

To help you find the right fare, the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) offers a fare selection tool.

Fare zone map 

Public transit fares in the Greater Montréal area are set by the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM). They define the fare structure for all modes of transportation (bus, métro, train and REM) in Laval, Montréal, the Longueuil agglomeration, and the North Shore and South Shore. 

 

The city of Laval is located in Zone B.

Fares valid for bus and shared taxi service in Laval 

In Laval, public transit by bus is provided exclusively by the STL. 
We also offer a shared taxi service that complements the network in several areas.

To ride the bus 

The following fares are accepted: 

  • Bus fares (1, 2 or 10 trips, monthly, 24‑hour and 3‑day passes) 
  • All Modes fares (AB, ABC or ABCD) 
  • Horizon 65+ for Laval seniors 
  • XTRA STL for ages 12–17 (summer pass) 
  • Unlimited Evening pass 
  • Unlimited Weekend pass 

To use the shared taxi service 

The following fares are accepted, provided they are loaded on an OPUS card: 

  • Bus fares (1, 2 or 10 trips, monthly, 24‑hour and 3‑day passes) 
  • All Modes fares (AB, ABC or ABCD) 
  • Horizon 65+ for Laval seniors 
  • XTRA STL for ages 12–17 (summer pass) 
  • Unlimited Evening pass 
  • Unlimited Weekend pass 

Important The OPUS card is the only accepted payment method onboard shared taxis. 

Travelling outside Laval? 

Bus fares allow you to transfer to STM, exo and RTL buses within the same trip. 

Need to use another mode of transportation? Depending on the zones you travel through, All Modes fares (AB, ABC or ABCD) are valid on bus, métro, train and REM.

  • 1, 2 or 10‑trip fares and monthly All Modes passes (AB, ABC or ABCD) 
  • 24‑hour and 3‑day All Modes passes (AB, ABC or ABCD) 
  • Unlimited Evening and Unlimited Weekend passes 

Did you know? These fares also allow you to ride STL, STM, exo and RTL buses.
