At the STL, providing high-quality, universally accessible transit involves:
Accessible routes designed to meet our customers' travel needs.
Routes that remain accessible throughout the trip, even in the event of detours or unexpected disruptions.
Accessible stops, where customers can board and exit buses safely and easily, at the start and end of their trip.
Clear information about accessible routes, stops and vehicles.
Municipal infrastructure that supports the deployment of access ramps and allows customers to reach bus stops safely.
A majority of buses equipped with audio and visual next-stop announcement systems.
Priority seating for passengers with reduced mobility.
Low-floor buses that can be lowered to make boarding and alighting easier for seniors, people with functional limitations, and parents travelling with strollers.

Accessible Network
The STL’s regular bus network includes several accessible routes. With few exceptions, those routes are served by vehicles equipped with a front access ramp, allowing wheelchair passengers to board the bus.
Our accessible routes may also be suitable for other passengers with functional limitations or those using mobility aids.
To use the regular network, customers must be able to board and exit the bus without help from STL staff, either on their own or with the assistance of an attendant.

End of the STL Companion Program
This real-time guidance service, designed to make travel on the STL’s regular bus network in Laval easier for certain customers, was discontinued in May 2026.
The Inclusive Mobility Program provides an alternative that serves the same purpose.
Sales outlet accessibility
We have assessed the accessibility of all sales outlets located in Laval.
Sales outlets are classified accord to three levels of accessibility for people with reduced mobility:
- Accessible
- Partially accessible (assistance required)
- Not accessible

Paratransit Service
In addition to our regular bus service, we operate a paratransit service for eligible Laval residents.
If your condition or mobility needs prevent you from using our accessible network, or if you require specialized transportation to get around, this service may be for you.
