To ride the bus on our network, you need to purchase bus fares. 
All Modes fares give you more flexibility when travelling between Laval and Montréal (train, bus, metro and REM). 

 

Which fare should you choose? 

To help you find the fare that best suits your needs, the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) offers a fare selector. 
Simply enter a few details about your planned trip, and you’re all set.

Free transit for kids! 

Public transit is free for children aged 0 to 5, as well as for children aged 6 to 11 when accompanied by someone 14 or older who is responsible for them. 

 

The accompanying person must have a valid fare and can travel with up to 5 children. 

 

If your child travels alone, make sure to get an OPUS card with photo to purchase reduced fares.

Ride the bus in Laval for $1 during smog alerts 

From June 1 to Labour Day, whenever Environment Canada issues a smog advisory for the Laval area, the STL offers a $1 single fare for the entire day following the alert. This initiative helps reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. 

The fare can be paid onboard using cash, debit or credit. It is valid on the entire STL bus network and shared taxi service. If you have a monthly fare on your OPUS card, that fare will be used at no extra cost. You are already helping reduce GHG emissions—thank you! 

Through this initiative, we aim to encourage people to choose public transit instead of driving, and help improve air quality. 

Important: If your OPUS card contains single fares and you tap your card on a smog alert day, one fare will be deducted and you will not benefit from the $1 offer. 
For that day, it is more advantageous to pay the $1 fare onboard using cash, debit or credit. 

In the event of a smog alert, we will notify you through our website, social media, and real-time transit info tools. Stay informed!
