Project management: a cornerstone for the STL

While 330 buses roll through the streets of the third-biggest city in Québec, the brains are churning at the STL teams working to improve service. A true technological revolution is under way in public transit as we:

• Buy electric buses
• Build facilities optimized for electrification
• Update our systems and processes

In order to serve Laval residents with green buses, we need to do everything differently, whether it be planning schedules or routes, maintaining or operating vehicles. The projects are our way of introducing innovation into our day-to-day operations. To do so, we are building a team of experts:

• comprising more than 25 project managers, project control officers, portfolio managers, practice managers, various advisors and others
• 2 major project offices with dedicated teams
• about 80 active projects in the project portfolio
• over $200 million in projects that will allow the STL to fight against climate change by avoiding hundreds of tonnes of GHG emissions every year
