Rates and Opus card for students

Student Opus card with photo ID

To qualify for a student OPUS card with photo ID, you must be a high school student or full-time student. You need this card in order to access reduced or student fares, whichever apply to you. The process for obtaining or renewing student OPUS cards with photo ID varies depending on your age and your student status.

It can be loaded with Bus fares, monthly All Modes AB, ABC and ABCD passes as well as some special fares, such as the XTRA or school-related fares.

All Modes AB, ABC and ABCD 1-, 2- and 10-trip fares cannot be loaded on an OPUS card with photo ID. However, by presenting your OPUS card with photo ID, you can purchase them at the reduced fare loaded onto a second OPUS card used only for such fares. For fore information, refer to the OPUS Card Dedicated to All Modes AB, ABC and ABCD Fares section.
