New schedules as of June 25: Summertime is all about going out

The Société de transport de Laval (STL) will operate on a summer schedule from June 25 to August 28. Coming up: new bus schedules, new routes, new fares and exclusive offers for Laval public transit users.

Use the trip planner to plan your trips and get real-time bus schedules by texting your bus stop number to 511785. Also, keep statutory holiday schedules in mind:
•    Québec’s National Holiday on June 24: Sunday service
•    Canada Day on July 1: Saturday service

Better service for workers

Two new features will make the commute easier for workers at the Cité de la Biotech and at the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul industrial district:

  • Shared taxi T16 will soon become bus route 16 to carry even more commuters to companies on Boulevard Armand-Frappier. Route 16 becomes one of the network’s fully accessible routes.
  • Routes 50 and 58 will be extended up to Paul-Kane terminus and will have more buses running on weekdays and weekends.

Accessibility at stops

To make it easier for people with mobility impairments to use public transit, 337 stops on the network have become accessible this year in addition to some 900 that were already accessible across Laval. A newly installed icon on bus stop signs now indicates which stops are accessible. By the end of the summer, some new features will be available on the STL website so people with impaired mobility can plan their trips based on accessible bus routes and stops.

Road work season

We’ll adjust! Bus routes passing though major road works, such as Pie-IX bridge and Boulevard Marcel-Laurin, will also have their trip times adjusted to prevent any delays.

Towards a simplified fare structure

The new fares set by the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) will come into effect on July 1. Notable new features include:

  • Introduction of the Bus fare, which replaces the STL fare and allows riders to use the bus in the greater metropolitan area.
  • Introduction of the All Modes AB fare, which replaces the TRAM 3 fare and gives riders access to all modes of public transit (bus, metro, train) in Laval, Montréal and the agglomeration of Longueuil.
  • The new Bus fares and All Modes AB fares will have a 120-minute transfer time.

An XTRA hot summer with STL

The XTRA pass allows holders of an OPUS card with photo ID to travel throughout July and August for a reduced fare of just $71 (ages 12 to 17). This offer is exclusive to the STL bus network and on sale until July 19.

Travel downtown for free with the 360 shuttle

Travel around downtown Laval with the free 360 shuttle, operating seven days a week all summer long. Departures every 20 minutes from Montmorency terminus (platform 8). For the map and schedule information.

Jeux du Québec: We’re shuttling athletes around town. And up to the podium.

From July 22 to 30, the STL will be providing free shuttle service to athletes and volunteers for the 55th Finale des Jeux du Québec in Laval. Hop on public transit to come out and encourage the young athletes at one of the 14 competition sites. Laval2022.jeuxduquebec.com

Ride the bus for $1 on smog days

Once again this year, the STL is continuing one of its premier environmental initiatives. Until Labour Day, each time Environment Canada issues a smog warning, the special rate of $1 applies the next day (payable by cash or credit card) on the regular network. Remember, you can also use contactless credit card payment on all our buses!
