New bus schedules effective August 28

The Société de transport de Laval (STL) would like to inform its customers that new schedules for its regular network will be in effect as of Saturday, August 28.

The STL has adjusted its bus and shared taxi service offering compared to the summer schedule to make sure it is ready to serve students and workers, while providing the best ride experience possible. The bus network's fall service is therefore comparable to the service offered before the pandemic. The STL would also like to remind riders that on Labour Day, September 6, service will be operating on a Sunday schedule.

The new schedules have been posted to the STL website at stlaval.ca.

A more accessible network

Routes 45 and 46 will be added to the 17 routes that are currently accessible to users with mobility issues, bringing accessibility to over 40% of the STL’s regular network. Accessible routes are served by buses equipped with a flip ramp at the front to facilitate access for wheelchair users.

REM travel info: Changes effective August 23

As part of the mitigation measures put in place during construction work on the REM (Réseau express métropolitain), the STL will be operating a new shuttle bus service (route 713, departing from Sainte-Dorothée station) to better serve residents of western Laval. The express shuttle bus will stop at the new park-and-ride lot on Avenue des Bois and then proceed along Boulevard Chomedey toward Côte-Vertu metro station, which will be open again as of August 23.

Shuttle bus routes 730 and 744 departing from Sainte-Dorothée station will continue to operate with route changes and improvements, as will the shared taxi routes (T26, T27 and T28) that have been introduced to make sure residents in areas affected by construction work on the REM can get around easily.

Take the bus for $1 on September 17 to support a good cause

Dedicated to encouraging Laval residents to get around using public transit, the STL has been organizing $1-ride days since 2016. This year’s $1-ride day will be on September 17. The project is designed to get Laval residents out of their cars and onto buses to give the environment a break and help improve air quality.
